I accidentally had my Nikon SB 800 speedlight on "plus two" (designed to shoot about 30 feet) most of the night with predictable results.

After taking my place on the red carpet, I get into a compelling conversation for an hour with two female freelancers.

"Let's make a pact to only ask weird questions," says one as the celebrities arrive.

"I was at a red carpet with a creepy old man," says UCLA TV's Noah Reich, "who was sticking his camera in people's faces and asking creepy questions such as, 'Are you happy?'"
