Sinai Temple’s Celebration Of Israel Independance Day

Jewish musician Craig Taubman emails:

Luke. I produced and wrote the program. It was not only an honor it was a privilege. Few corrections.

1. The Sheriff did not speak.

2. We sang Hatikvah and were joined by 2200 people of all faiths saying…long live the hope…the dream.

3. The consul general was invited and was scheduled to attend.

4. I have received one critical email. Below is a small sample of the balance of emails.

Share the good! Be a Or L’Goyim in such dark times you can be a LIGHT unto the nations…

The Alah O Akbar killed me. It took me back to my childhood and I loved it. More than that to start the evening with Cantor Gole singing ” Hear our voices of God, have compassion and mercy for us and receive our prayers and supplication…” and the Muslim singer enchanting “God is Great…,” it was the true example of interfaith unity and celebration of peace and freedom.

I want to thank you for your efforts in producing and performing in that concert. It was very moving. It was also a seamless production from the audience’s perspective! If only the sentiment expressed could be held by the majority of the world.
– Rachel

Every touch of the night was so unique and well thought out- like the tap dancer and Rabbi Feinstein- how unique! The rapping actress was remarkable and David Broza was sensational.
More than the wonderful performances, it was the diversity in the crowd that made the night truly a night of Unity. It was beautiful that so many cultures came out to celebrate with Israel.
– Rona

The energy in that room was like no other. Millions need to get that message.
-Leslie

The Unity Concert was a beautiful event. I was very inspired by all the performers!

Congratulations on a wonderful event. It was so inspiring to take part in celebrating both Israel and our ability to have a shared positive experience with religious people of different faiths. Every speaker, artist and performer was as good if not better than the last. (I am blown away that you put together a program with so many peak moments. Probably the best part for me was watching your excitement as every performer nailed their piece. Great job!
– Jay
