From Beverly Hills Body:

There is a new way to get a nose job in Los Angeles, California and it is non-surgical and can be performed in 15 minutes. Dubbed the “15 minute non-surgical nose job”, the procedure is a new alternative for patients wishing to improve the shape of their nose without going under the knife through an invasive nose surgery (rhinoplasty). Dr. Babak Dadvand is one of a few select plastic surgeons in the country perfecting this skilled technique. Instead of cutting with scalpel, the plastic surgeon uses a needle with a filler material to shape and contour the nose. While injectable fillers have been mostly used to reduce facial wrinkles and restore volume to the face until now, surgeons are starting to use them in the nose to even out and conceal bumps, bulges, and indentations, raise a droopy or downward nasal tip, and create a more symmetric look to the nose. The procedure can also be used to create more fullness or otherwise augment a flat nasal bridge, which is a problem that Asians and African American patients have. The results last for between 6 and 12 months and once the results start to fade the patient simply needs a touch up to maintain the results longer.

As part of the treatment, a filler such as Restylane or Juvederm is injected into the desired areas of the nose to help correct nasal irregularities. When injected beneath the skin, the filler plump ups creased and sunken areas of the nose and restores symmetry to the nose. The 15 minute treatment smoothes out and straightens the nose for an overall improved appearance.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty avoids the risks of surgery and has no effect on nasal breathing since it involves only injection into the skin. During the procedure, you are fully awake. You hold a mirror and you are in complete control of the procedure's results. The Non Surgical Nose Job procedure does not cause nosebleeds or persistent swelling. The procedure is temporary and there are no long term scarring complications.

Dr. Dadvand states, “There has been a definite trend towards less and less invasive alternatives to standard cosmetic surgeries. This is a trend that is going to continue as plastic surgeons push the envelope in developing techniques that will obtain superior results with minimal risk to their patients. Although the non-surgical rhinoplasty is in no ways a substitute for traditional rhinoplasty, it definitely serves a purpose and adds to my armamentarium in treating my patients. Not every patient is emotionally, psychologically, or financially prepared to undergo a rhinoplasty. Using injectable fillers in these situations have become a very important tool in helping these patients in my practice. Also, patients who have had prior nose surgeries who are not ready to undergo another revision are great candidates for my injectable rhinoplasty technique.”

The benefits of this new, breakthrough procedure are faster results, quicker healing time, less or no pain, and of course no surgery. Additionally, the procedure is likely to cost one tenth of the cost of a traditional rhinoplasty (average cost of a rhinoplasty varies). Unlike a traditional rhinoplasty where swelling can persist for months, these fillers allow patients to obtain quick results with little or no healing downtime. Some patients may experience some swelling and bruising in the nose area but this usually resolves itself quickly after a few days.
